Tetrisweeper
Tetrisweeper is an innovative game that ingeniously combines the mechanics of "Minesweeper" and "Tetris", the two most famous puzzle games. This unique hybrid tests both your puzzle-solving skills and quick reflexes, creating a dynamic and engaging gaming experience.

Game mechanics

As in Tetris, differently shaped blocks known as tetrominoes fall from the top of the screen. Each block consists of four squares, and your task is to manipulate these blocks as they fall, rotating and placing them to create complete rows at the bottom of the screen.

Each square in tetromines functions similarly to a tile in Minesweeper. This means that some fields will contain mines. Doorknob? You won't know which fields are mined until you place the tetromino.

Your goal is to completely fill the rows without detonating the mines. Complete rows without mines will be cleared from the board, giving you more room to maneuver the next tetromines.

Strategic depth

To help you spot the mines, numbers appear on the squares after you place the tetromino. These numbers tell you how many adjacent squares contain a mine, a la Minesweeper. Use this information to infer where mines are likely to be and mark them.

Marking works the same as in Minesweeper: right-click a square suspected of containing a mine, and place a flag. If you correctly mark all the mines in a row and complete it with tetromines, that row will be cleared.

The game ends when a mine is inadvertently detected by placement or if a stack of tetromines reaches the top of the playing field.

Types of lines and how to get them

  • Line Filled is when you fill a line with tiles, just like in normal Tetris
  • Tetris is when you fill four lines at once
  • T-Spin is when you fill a line by twisting a T tetromino into a tight space
  • Line Cleared when you solve a minesweeper puzzle on a filled line and cause it to be removed
  • Linesweep is when you clear the line you just filled in, before the next tetromino falls into place
  • Tetrisweep is when you clear all 4 rows in the 4-row tetris you just completed, before the next tetromino falls into place
  • T-Spinsweep is when you achieve a T-spin and clear every line that the T tetromino has filled, before the next tetromino falls into place
  • Perfect Clear is when you clear the entire playing field without leaving any tiles.
