Lode Runner is a game developed by Douglas Smith, originally released in 1983. Here you can find a remake that is a web browser game! The player takes control of the character, collecting all the gold he finds on the way. In doing so, you have to avoid the robots that are trying to catch you. The levels feature a polysyllabic brick platform motif, with ladders and hand bars in the air. They offer multiple ways to travel through each one. There are 150 levels, which get progressively harder. The game is notable for being one of the first to feature a level editor that allows players to create their own levels. You are able to dig holes in the floors and temporarily wrap those robots and then walk safely. The player can fall from an unlimited height without getting hurt, but cannot jump. Complete the level when you collect all the gold.
