How to play the Skat card game

Preparation:
• Deck of cards: Skat is played with a standard deck of 32 cards (7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, king and ace in each suit).
• Players: The game involves three players - two players play against the third, who is called the "dealer".

Goal of the game:
• The aim of the game is to win as many points as possible in the round through bidding and playing hands.

Game flow:
• Auction: Bidding begins where the players determine counter and recounter. This determines who will be the soloist and the opponents.
• Dealing cards: The dealer deals 10 cards to each player (usually played with three 10-card hands).
• Scat auction: The dealer then places two cards in the middle of the table, called a "scat," and then the bidding continues so that the soloist (one of the opponents) can take those cards and discard two of his own.
• Playing hands: The soloist plays against the remaining two players. The first player with the card starts and then the players alternate. Each hand has its own rule about which cards must be played.

Scoring:
• Scored points: Points are won through bidding and playing hands.
• Scoring for the game: The goal is to score as many points as possible in your hands. Different cards have different values.
• Bonuses: Also, there are bonuses for certain situations such as "schneider" (when the opponents score less than 31 points), "schwarz" (when the opponents do not score a single point) and others.

End of the game:
• The game continues through several rounds, and the winner is the player with the most points after completing a certain number of rounds.
